Jason’s Bio
Jason Morris is a devops engineer on an agile development team for a company that provides cloud services. Before that, Jason spent many years testing software. Jason is skilled in cross-team collaboration, regression and integration testing, and is honing his skills in test automation and API Testing. A certified scrum master and software tester (ASTQB), Jason is also skilled using various tools of the trade. As a software tester with extensive testing experience, Jason has been involved with many large-scale software projects.
His side interests include this website, as well as an niche site he’s trying to monetize primarily through the Amazon Affiliate program. In his volunteer time, he’s the IT Director for our local youth organization where he leads the effort to assist the league with their technical needs. He’s also coached youth basketball and football for nearly a decade.
Born and raised in the coal country of northeastern Kentucky, he served in the U.S. Navy onboard the USS Doyle (FFG-39), based out of Mayport, Florida. After his enlistment was over, he returned to college and graduated Cum Laude with a B.S from Ohio University. In the summer of 2012, Jason and family moved to Florida. In November 2020, Jason and his wife will celebrate 20 years of marriage, which has proven to be fruitful as they’re blessed with four boys between the ages of 3 and 16. In 2020, Jason and his family relocated to be closer to his family in Eastern Kentucky.
