Domain Name Registrar Challenge: First Round of the East Region

Welcome Domain Name Registrar Challenge East Region, fictionally hosted in Toronto, Canada.  Canada is home to some good registrars, but none of them compete on their home turf in this bracket.  The East Region features number 1 seed NameCheap, but will be challenged by Epik, Fabulous, and Hexonet, among others.  The East features a number of mid-major programs that are developing winning programs, especially amongst the domain investment community.  This is probably the toughest bracket top to bottom, and the winner of this bracket will surely challenge for a championship. Domain Name Registrar Challenge: First Round of the West Region

Welcome to Domain Name Registrar Challenge West Region!  This region is in Scottsdale, Arizona.  Arizona is home to registrars GoDaddy and NameSilo.  However neither of these registrars are in the bracket and can’t claim home-field advantage.  The wild west bracket includes tech giants Google and Amazon, as well as Network Solutions.  However, many domainers do not prefer these tech companies for domain registrars, leaving the door open for lower seeds. Domain Name Registrar Challenge South Region, fictionally hosted in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.  And I say why not Tuscaloosa, home of the Crimson Tide football team.  There will be blood in water, as the number one over-all seed GoDaddy gets set to take on the rest.  This region also contains some big names in the industry like Ionos and Enom.  However, there are some underdogs making some noise in the bracket, such as InternetBS and NameSilo, to name two. To see how the seeding was done based on data collected by yours truly, check out the article that introduced 2020 Best Domain Registrar Challenge.  You can just cut to the chase and view the bracket in the webpage or download the PDF of the bracket if you wish. Like the march basketball tournament, you’re encouraged to examine the bracket and fill it out for who you think should win.  I will cover each region on my podcast, telling you how I selected the winner of each “game”.  I will post results as I cover them on my podcast.  You’re encouraged to share this and have fun with it with fellow domainers!  If you get a chance to listen to an upcoming podcast where I preview the tournament, I’ll even explain what inspired me to do this! Each registrar is seeded 1-16, and there are four regions, with the top registrar from each region advancing to the final four registrars.  These last four will compete for a
